Simon Weil Posted November 11, 2003 Report Posted November 11, 2003 Happy Birthday to the man who gives politics a (fairly) good name. Simon Weil Quote
connoisseur series500 Posted November 11, 2003 Report Posted November 11, 2003 Hmmm, what planets aligned to bring us Conn and Weizy on the same day? Brother Weizy!! Quote
ghost of miles Posted November 11, 2003 Report Posted November 11, 2003 On Veterans' Day, Weizy, a special birthday salute to you from one of your favorite American soldiers: He still wants to give you that ambassadorship to Vienna, even after you said those nasty things about him! Maybe for your next birthday, which should fall a few days after the election. In all seriousness, Weizen, I hope you have a wonderful day spinning JRVGs, drinking quality beers, and savoring whatever other aspects and blessings of your life that make you happy. Cheers! Quote
J.A.W. Posted November 11, 2003 Report Posted November 11, 2003 Have a great birthday my friend, and a few of those excellent beverages! Quote
The Mule Posted November 11, 2003 Report Posted November 11, 2003 Weizy! I didn't know it was your birthday! I never knew when your birthday was and I never, ever told you HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Quote

Son-of-a-Weizen Posted November 12, 2003 Report Posted November 12, 2003 (edited) Many thanks for all the kind words folks!! Scored a few Mosaic Selects, some choice cigars, a nice bottle of Cooper's Choice Single Malt (19 Yr.)..........and a nice headache from too much Port over at the new Charlie Palmers steakhouse a block over from The Capitol. An odd place....aircraft hangar-sized mens & ladies rooms are separated by a solid wall of frosted glass with 3 randomly positioned keyhole windows (w/clear glass) at various heights (knee, chest, etc) so that you can sneak a quick peek into the adjoining restroom. Yes, after a bottle of wine I finally stooped down to take a peek...but thankfully Sen. Barbara Mikulski wasn't in there. I wonder if all the 'excitement' was too much for Strom Thurmond to handle?
