Nate Dorward
Aha! They've at last updated it. I wonder if it helped that I wrote an email to Steve at Hallwalls bitching about the lack of schedule updates....

king ubu
?.?., I picked up all the hats for CHF 13.5! Cool beans! ubu This should have been: "?.?. ..." of course, but my computer seemed to have some problems with those strange letters... I listened to the trio disc of Wallin - very cool! Not that avant, not that experimental (the duo - only parts of which I've heard - seem to be a little more on the explorative side), but very strong music! Uh, and, as long as I don't mistake my girlfriend for a hat... ubu
king ubu
By the way, anybody has the Beins/Pfleiderer/Wilson? Guess ?.?. has, no? And the Jon Lloyd seems to be great! Anyone has that? ubu
Д.Д.
Ubu, I have most of the earlier hatOLOGYs (up till #60), including Beins (but haven't listened to it yet) Walin is excellent indeed. Well, vast majority of the Hats (and of hat[now]ARTs, by the way) is excellent. Edited January 29, 2004 by Д.Д.

Guest Chaney
That's a very special sale for very special friends, Hans. Well, as everyone knows, I'm special so spill the beans Д.Д. Where'd you hear about this? And BE STRONG! I'm riding along with you on your "moderately successful" buying freeze.

I don't think so... Just got this e-mail from Leo: Dear Sir, I am sorry to disappoint you. It was a Christmas sale, but the X-mas is over. Guest Chaney
Thanks for your post Hans. In a way, I'm relieved. The less temptation (for now), the better.
J.A.W.
Thanks for your post Hans. In a way, I'm relieved. The less temptation (for now), the better. Hmm, I don't know... I still need some Leo CDs and it would have been nice to get them at the prices DD (Д.Д.) mentioned (Berkshire doesn't have them)

Д.Д.
Sorry for confusion, gentlemen. The info regarding the sale is from the Leo Christmas mail newsletter that I received only today. I didn't check the dates. In general, Leo has promotion on the latest batch of releases - buy 3 get 1 free, buy 4 - get 2 free.
shrugs
long thread. I know I read along the way that VAO's Satie cd is OOP. FWIW, The original 2 lp set has a track that didn't make it to either of the cd pressings. And I gotta give props to the Brotzmann Atlanta Concert lp on Okka and the Brotzmann/Walter perkins lp on Eremite. If my wife wasn't camped out in the same room as the hi-fi, I'd throw one of them on....

Д.Д.
By the way, anybody has the Beins/Pfleiderer/Wilson? Guess ?.?. has, no? Ubu, Beins / Pfleiderer / Wilson "Yarbles" is absolutely fantastic. Never heard Pfleiderer before... I am curious what your opinion will be. Nate, I was trying to find this one: Re: Gräwe: I have a few discs-- VicissEtudes with Frank Gratkowski on Random Acoustics is easily one of the best freely improvised discs I have. Period. but couldn't see it mentioned anywhere (including RANDOM ACOUSTICS website). Are you sure this is the way it is called? And yeah, new Cecil on FMP is not Da Shit. Not bad either, but not Da Shit, definitely. Guitarist seems to be a bit out of place. Nice to hear Cyrille with CT, though. However, new Kowald Duos (part 2) on FMP is mind-blowing. Such a versatile musician!

If anyone is remotely interested in Brotzmann w/ Hamid Drake you should grab this asap as it is a limited edition of less than 1000 and has been out for a while.
