Ron Carter - Where? OJC vs. RVG

There's something very agressive and cavernous in the sound of this RVG that I'm not sure I like. I was wondering if the OJC has a better, drier sound? I love the subtle sound of the OJC of Waldron's The Quest by the same group. Any opinions?

If it will help, I have never heard an OJC that I didn't like.

I mean the original 16 bit ones. Avoid the German 20 bit ones - the ones I have heard have a horrible echo.

I love the sound of the RVG! The other version I have is in the Dolphy box, it sounds nice, but not alive like the RVG. You will probably like the single OJC disc version.
