trpt2345 Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 I've just been told that they're looking into a Lucky Thompson Select, but they didn't have any details yet. They're also looking into a Keith Jarrett Select of the trio/quartet Atlantic/Vortex recordings. Let the flames begin!!! Including Restoration Ruin? Trpt2345 Quote

Trpt2345 No. And this Select is by no means definite yet. MC just said in his email to me that it's something he'd LIKE to do. Quote

JETman Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 ... Is this just apathy, or a way to get the last word in? Quote

ghost of miles Posted August 22, 2009 Report Posted August 22, 2009 Any updates on Selects in the works? Quote
J.A.W. Posted August 22, 2009 Report Posted August 22, 2009 Any updates on Selects in the works? Not from me, I haven't been in touch with Mosaic lately. Quote
BruceH Posted August 22, 2009 Report Posted August 22, 2009 that the next select will be a Lucky Thompson set of his work during the '50's... As I have nothing by him nor am I that familiar with him... For those in the know... Is this good or bad???? and what would be in this set??? I still hope they do this at some point because it could be very, very good. Lucky Thompson is one of the greats. (I must have somehow missed this thread before.) Quote
AllenLowe Posted August 23, 2009 Report Posted August 23, 2009 next project: rare performances of Beethoven's 10th Symphony. Quote
Guest Bill Barton Posted August 23, 2009 Report Posted August 23, 2009 Surely would be nice if they did a "late period" Pee Wee Russell set... Quote
ghost of miles Posted August 24, 2009 Report Posted August 24, 2009 Surely would be nice if they did a "late period" Pee Wee Russell set... OK, I know I'm always hypin' Night Lights shows (forgive me, Father Matthew! ), but yeah, I think that's a great topic: Late Pee Wee: Pee Wee Russell in the 1960s Quote
