bebopbob
What a great list. Just placed an order with amazon.uk for the MJQ Porgy and Bess and the Mann-Evans Nirvana CDs. It looks like amazon issued me a VAT discount with my order-each disc was reduced to 6.80 instead of 7.99 Thanks for posting the list. Hopefully we'll see more classic Atlantic material out on CD including Shorty Rogers The Swingin' Mr. Rogers and Clickin' With Clax and more MJQ. Tony Pusey
Cavetano, thanks for posting the link and the list. But me and Pa Ubu still want to know are they jewel cases or digis!
Claude
Of the September 20th european reissues, some titles seem to be copyprotected, which can cause compatibility issues with some players. I've seen these two so far (format says "kopiergeschützt") - MJQ - Porgy & Bess - Mingus - Oh yeah To find the new releases, go to the Amazon.de advanced music search page, enter "Rhino" as the label and select "Ordnen nach: Erscheinungsdatum - neue zuerst". I could be that this concerns german pressings only. Some titles have been reissued at various dates in different packaging. The situation is rather confusing. AndrewHill
Up. Are there any more Atlanitc/Warner remasters coming out? Like Shout Factory, its like these reissue programs have gone dormant.
jazzbo
Don't you know that all jazz reissue programs are now dead?
AndrewHill
RVG's and Conns are still alive
jazzbo
Nah, they just haven't completely cooled and decomposed yet. . . . Okay, you got me. And that darned "Verve Original" series. Still keeps putting out stuff already put out.
The Magnificent Goldberg
I fear Jazzbo's correct - there have been no reissues since February this year - and only one Jimmy Scott, then. The last batch of reissued was August 2006. Current issues from Warner Jazz mostly appear to be Latin. The link in Caetano's post #51 still works and tells you what's available. Glad this was upped - there are a couple here I'd forgotten about - particularly Duke Ellington's "New Orleans suite". MG
AndrewHill
Yeah, I hear ya. Once in a blue moon, we'll actually get somethin' else besides a re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-issue of A Love Supreme.
brownie
Nothing new from that Warner Jazz France series lately. I am afraid we have to write the series off!
