Guest Chaney Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 (edited) Sheesh! What kinda' loser are you! Seein' and admittin' to enjoyin' a KID'S movie! (Saw it with my niece and we BOTH loved it!) Edited November 4, 2003 by Chaney Quote
jazzbo Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 Great movie. . . I'm not getting the DVD because part of the appeal of this thing was the huge screen experience, know what I mean? But I like this movie, a lot, and NOT because I've had a clown fish at home for about three years! Quote
grey Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 One Sunday afternoon last summer I had to babysit two little tikes so I decided to take them to see Nemo. I was very surprised to discover that I really did enjoy the movie. Great fun for kids and kids-at-heart. Quote
Soulstation1 Posted November 4, 2003 Author Report Posted November 4, 2003 buy my dvd today, pleazzzzeeeeee Quote
Soulstation1 Posted November 4, 2003 Author Report Posted November 4, 2003 (edited) in the short that was played before nemo, knick knack. a name that is given credit at the end is flip phillips, i wonder is it that flip phillips? ss1 Edited November 4, 2003 by Soulstation1 Quote
Man with the Golden Arm Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 looking forward to this too! beautiful stuff!! aside-there are to be some clues as to the coastal massachusetts in-jokes within the set. director andrew stanton grew up in rockport and based the premise on the fantasies he would create as a kid in the aquarium filled dentist's office (which was actually next door to where my wife and i lived for a while). i know what lon means though, will never match the experience of the big screen. Soulstation1 Posted November 6, 2003 Author Report Posted November 6, 2003 8 million dvd/vhs copies of nemo were sold on tuesday. a new single day record. the dvd set is a five star set in my books. ss1 Quote
jacman Posted November 6, 2003 Report Posted November 6, 2003 i took my kids (11 & 4 years old) to see the movie. i thought i'd be bored, but i enjoyed it as much as my kids did. so who's selling it the cheapest? Wal-Mart? Costco? :cheapskate: Quote
Soulstation1 Posted November 6, 2003 Author Report Posted November 6, 2003 i heard that the lion king was around $13.50 at costco. so i'd think that nemo should be around the same price. i might stop by costco today and i'll check. circut city had it for 15, but i believe just tuesday only. best buy 16, that's where i picked up my copy. ss1 Quote
grey Posted November 6, 2003 Report Posted November 6, 2003 I noticed that Nemo comes with a bonus disc. Is it worthwhile? Quote
Soulstation1 Posted November 7, 2003 Author Report Posted November 7, 2003 costco had the set for $18, which is the same price on their online site. the second disc has nemo in fullscreen and knick knack and some other goodies. pick up the set ss1 Quote
Clunky Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 anyone know if the DVD of Nemo is one of these specially restricted discs that can be played on multiregion players outside of the USA? My children would love this !!!! Quote
Soulstation1 Posted November 7, 2003 Author Report Posted November 7, 2003 it has the number 1 on the case. i don't know if that's what you are lookin' for. ss1 Quote
Tjazz Posted November 8, 2003 Report Posted November 8, 2003 (edited) Target has it for $15. Course, if you wait, you can probably buy it used from Blockbuster for about $10. Edited November 8, 2003 by Tjazz Quote
BruceH Posted November 10, 2003 Report Posted November 10, 2003 $15 sounds good. Yeah, nothing can beat seeing the movie on the big screen but both my kids really loved the Monsters, Inc DVD, so I'll probably get this too. (My 11-yr-old saw Nemo twice in the theater, so I guess he liked it!) Quote
