A Lark Ascending Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 I've never tried Cadence - I like the sound of that CD. Can you post the link for Cadence please, John. I used to have it but have changed computers and... Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 Many thanks, just gone on the favourites list. Quote
JohnS Posted April 2, 2003 Author Report Posted April 2, 2003 Cadence stock some nice things you'll have a job to find elsewhere. Unfortunately they make a $2.50 surcharge for non-subscribers to Cadence. I still think they are a good bet. Quote

Which is why, even though I've considered it, I've never ordered from Cadence. You'd think they'd want to encourage rather than discourage business. Quote
JohnS Posted April 3, 2003 Author Report Posted April 3, 2003 True, but buy three, have them shipped in "jewel box begones" and you get shipping for the price of one. That comes in below the import duty level in the UK and will be cheaper than buying locally. And of course they want to encourage subscitions to the magazine. Quote
.:.impossible Posted April 5, 2003 Report Posted April 5, 2003 I've always had a good experience ordering from Cadence, plus for the extra $2.50 they send you a back-issue. I think that's pretty cool. Related... Another compliment to Chuck Nessa's service. I placed an order Tuesday evening and received the discs on Friday! What I love most about ordering from Mr. Nessa is that he has such a relationship with his catalog. I requested a specific disc and asked for him to choose another. Obviously, I would have been thrilled by any choice he made. Look at his catalog, for gosh sake! Thanks again Chuck. Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted April 6, 2003 Report Posted April 6, 2003 You are welcome, and I look forward to some feedback about the music. B) Quote
J Larsen Posted April 6, 2003 Report Posted April 6, 2003 Looks like a decent-sized music collection you've got there in the background, Chuck. Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted April 6, 2003 Report Posted April 6, 2003 (edited) That's maybe half of it. I sold over 10,000 lps to finance the Art Ensemble Box, so it seems kinda small to me. Edited April 6, 2003 by Chuck Nessa Quote
David Ayers Posted April 9, 2003 Report Posted April 9, 2003 That's maybe half of it. I sold over 10,000 lps to finance the Art Ensemble Box, so it seems kinda small to me. Ouch. I always hesitated to ask why you had sold all those LPs... Quote
