A few questions about several artists

As you might know we try to build a Organ Jazz discography at The Hammond Jazz Inventory. Doing that we sometimes run into questions. For example:

Is Jerome Richardson on A Bag full of Blues by Jimmy McGriff the same as Jerome Richardson on Stay Loose by Jimmy Smith.

Is Richard Davis on A Bag full of Blues by Jimmy McGriff the same as Richard Davis on Check This Out by Jack McDuff

Is Babe Clark on Where Were You by Joey DeFrancesco (Bariton Sax) the same as Babe Clarke op Bashin' by Jimmy Smith

Is Bob Bushness (bass) on Any Number Can Win by Jimmy Smith the same as the Bob Bushnell on Brother Jug! by Gene Ammons, Returns by Rusty Bryant and Sure 'Nuff by Sony Philips.

Is Jimmy Johnson (drums) on Hobo Flats by Jimmy Smith the same as the Jimmy Johnson on Set Us Free by Reuben Wilson

Is Saint Jenkins (drums) on Black Pearl by Jimmy McGriff the same as Willie Jenkins on Let's Stay Together and A Bag Full Of Soul also by Jimmy McGriff

On all question we assumed the answer yes. Is that right?

I think I've heard something about this. I'd love to see what you've got so far.

Is Saint Jenkins (drums) on Black Pearl by Jimmy McGriff the same as Willie Jenkins on Let's Stay Together and A Bag Full Of Soul also by Jimmy McGriff

On all question we assumed the answer yes. Is that right?

I think most of your answers are correct, but I think these may be two different people.

Saint Jenkins appeared on

Black pearl

Let's stay together (the 1965 trio trax)

A bag full of soul

One of mine

McGriff at the Apollo

Chicken fried soul (Junior Parker/McGriff)

Black & blues

He MAY have appeared on "The way you look tonight" but I don't have that album.

Willie Jenkins seems only to have appeared on "Let's stay together", the 1972 tracks on side one. But since both were on the same LP, I can't see why - if it were the same man - two names were used.

There's a member here called Rshurman (or something like that) who knows one or two of the people who played with McGriff in the sixties and he may be able to help.

As far as I know, there is only one Richard Davis. His sound is unmistakeable.
