Son-of-a-Weizen
Didn't realize that this was released on vinyl in Nov. Any report on the quality of this vinyl? Always thought the Jasmine cd was a bit on the bright side. http://www.eastwindimport.com/album-detail...p;ProductID=827 http://www.jazz-sawano.com/index_f.html?188,analog Edited February 4, 2009 by Son-of-a-Weizen
clifford_thornton
I have an old Jasmine LP of this material. I assume that the Sawano edition is a hell of a lot nicer looking and better pressing. The source material might be on the "bright" side however, in terms of recording quality. Sidewinder might have an original Tempo to share reports on...
sidewinder
I have the Jasmine of the LP and find it to be more than acceptable - great LP. The Jasmine should also be an affordable price (hate to think what an original Tempo LP of the 10" would cost). The Jasmine I think has the 'Nowhere To Go' soundtrack bonus tracks. It's the Tempo EP of that one I have, with the crazy cover art. Oh dear - I wish I hadn't seen the details of the Japanese 'clone'. I'm tempted, as I like the Tubby Hayes LPs they've done. clifford_thornton
Right, there are bonus cuts on the Jasmine LP. The track order seems a little screwy, IIRC.
