Jim Alfredson Posted November 3, 2003 Report Posted November 3, 2003 We reached 60,000 on Oct. 7th. Not even a month later we have 10,000 more posts!!!!! I'll say it again. Thank you all for making this such a cool place to hang out!! Quote
Dave James Posted November 3, 2003 Report Posted November 3, 2003 Hey..the props should go your way, not our's. When the BNBB was unceremoniously turned into cyper-scrap, it was the first time I've ever felt homeless. Now I don't. That's your fault and I thank you for it. Up over and out. Quote
AfricaBrass Posted November 3, 2003 Report Posted November 3, 2003 No, thank you for giving us a clubhouse, Jim! :rsmile: :rsmile: :rsmile: Quote
David Ayers Posted November 3, 2003 Report Posted November 3, 2003 BNBB? What's that? Thanks Jim!! Quote
Guest Chaney Posted November 3, 2003 Report Posted November 3, 2003 I remember when Jim first heroically volunteered to set up a new home for us BNBB outcasts and I thought, poor fool, he'll go to a great deal of trouble and few will come as we had (I thought) found a home at, errr..., that other place. (NOT that we didn't like Jim!) HA! In my mind, I'm carrying our administrator on my shoulders! Hurrah! Quote
J.A.W. Posted November 3, 2003 Report Posted November 3, 2003 In my mind, I'm carrying our administrator on my shoulders! I'd really like to see that... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Great job, Jim! Quote
Free For All Posted November 3, 2003 Report Posted November 3, 2003 You built us a great hangout, Jim. Be careful what you wish for! BTW, my personal favorites were posts #47,923 and #19,645. Man , I just crack up when I think of those. Oh, and also #52,980. Priceless. Quote

I don't know how anyone could list post #52,980 as a favorite without first mentioning #49,336. It started the whole damn thing! Quote
maren Posted November 3, 2003 Report Posted November 3, 2003 Let me just quote my first post (March 6 2003):B3-er, congratulations! Great job -- I'm impressed and inspired by how quickly you got this going! Best wishes, maren And say THANKS AGAIN! Quote
Guest Chaney Posted November 3, 2003 Report Posted November 3, 2003 In my mind, I'm carrying our administrator on my shoulders! I'd really like to see that... The frog costume and game were his idea. (He looks much bigger in his band pictures!) Quote
neveronfriday Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 I'd be interested in finding out how much traffic this forum produces. Any statistics? Quote
JSngry Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 Hey Chris - I sure wasn't offended! Quote
Soul Stream Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 (edited) I always feel lucky that I planted roots early here (insert slap on self's back here ). Anyway,.....Jim Alfredson's Organissimo BB and BNBB refugees....2 great things that go great together. Thanks for all the work Jim (and Joe and Randy (O.K. you guys are draggin'. ) Edited November 4, 2003 by Soul Stream Quote
Rooster_Ties Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 (edited) I'll admit, I had my doubts at first. Took me about a week of lurking (and not all that actively, as I recall), before I joined (about a week after this board first became active). But now, heck - this place is way better than the old BNBB ever was -- or at least in most ways. Edited November 4, 2003 by Rooster_Ties Quote
pryan Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 Well, I think - no, I know - I made the right decision in making this my bullentin board of choice after the demise of the BNBB. Much thanks to B-3er, Use 3D, and of course all the other positive contributors/posters who make this a cool place to hang out. Quote

Joe G Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 I see we now have 500 registered members. Quote
catesta Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 Member # 500 (mindfulness) doesn't know how lucky he or she is. It all starts with a years supply of tuna! Not just any tuna, but America's favorite tuna. But wait! That's not all, how about 3 days and 2 nights at the Super 8 in downtown Provo Utah? If you think it can't get any better, well my friend you are wrong. You've just won.........A NEW CAR!!!!!!! That's right, it's the Matador by AMC. Quote
connoisseur series500 Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 Just want to pipe in my big "thank you" as well Jim. I also urge you to point out when the costs of maintaining this site become burdensome to you. I'm sure we could help out. It's all our neighborhood now and no single person should be left supporting everyone else. Quote
