Dan Gould Posted November 6, 2003 Report Posted November 6, 2003 the Lou Takes Off I made wasn't that good. So I sat down and re-did it: Lou Donaldson - Lou Takes Off (520 Kb) Hey-it looks like Lou's rocket is destined to catch up with Will Robinson and the rest of the cast of Lost in Space! Quote
AfricaBrass Posted November 6, 2003 Report Posted November 6, 2003 John, your avatars are GREAT! What program are you using to create your avatars? I'm using Photoshop 7 and Imageready, but your avatars look sharper to me. Clinton, as per your request, James T. Cat is now officially renamed Cat Shatner. That's a great name! Joe, "The album would have been called Waiting for the Boogaloo Sisters to Leave " Unfortunately, I don't think those two are going to get the hint that it's time to go. Jazzdog, I'll work on your avatar some more, so we won't get any "Hank's gotta go" comments. Quote
Bright Moments Posted November 6, 2003 Report Posted November 6, 2003 I am so thrilled with my new avatar and i just wanted to give AB another big thank you. any chance of seeing a large version of it so i can make it my screensaver? Quote
AfricaBrass Posted November 6, 2003 Report Posted November 6, 2003 You're welcome, Evan. I'm really glad you like it! I only created it at avatar size (100x100). If I get a chance, I'll make a larger version for you. Quote
AfricaBrass Posted November 6, 2003 Report Posted November 6, 2003 Say hello to Cat Shatner (formerly James T. Cat)! Quote

Rooster_Ties Posted November 6, 2003 Report Posted November 6, 2003 Me too! I nearly wet my pants laughing at that one. Especially since I was expecting something a bit different than that darn cat!!!!! (Maybe a hose, to help rinse off some of that whipped cream???? ) Quote

Big Al Posted November 6, 2003 Report Posted November 6, 2003 On second thought, maybe AfricaBrass could do something with it instead: maybe have the lady shake her hips, and then turn her head to reveal that she is really.... James T. Cat!!! Quote
AfricaBrass Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 Thanks Big Al! I'd be happy to work on a avatar for you! Quote

Jazzmoose Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 I didn't watch long enough to see Cat pop up before! Quote
Free For All Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 Many kudos to those of you with the advanced computer skills- those BN covers are wild! I think I'm going to have weird dreams about my LPs running around the house ("Mr. Marbles........?"). I'm also really enjoying the adventures of "the Cat in the Shat". Quote
Rooster_Ties Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 Here's James T. Cat cruising for chicks on Jimmy Smith album covers. James T. Cat? I thought he might be called Cat Shatner. As a matter of fact, I have taken to calling my cat that very thing. How about William Catner??? Quote
Jim R Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 Hey Rooster- I was just over at AAJ, and was flabbergasted when I saw your avatar (for those who haven't seen it, it's like a "slide show" of nine different Andrew Hill covers). Is the AAJ avatar technology that much different from over here? I don't recall ever seeing you do a slide show like that over here. What's up widdat? These original animations are "the cat's meow" (ouch... sorry about that), but a slide show of different LP covers would be almost as cool, IMO (or at least a nice change of pace option)... BTW, I have to admit- I'm still in love with the guitar in my avatar (long story), and it may take me awhile yet to dump it. B) Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 Do I need to up the allowed avatar file size? Quote
