AfricaBrass Posted November 21, 2003 Report Posted November 21, 2003 Thanks!!!! I was really hoping you'd like it, Big Al! Quote
maren Posted November 21, 2003 Report Posted November 21, 2003 Here's Chris Olivarez's avatar: I had to laugh at the cat ears poking through the top of the hat. Quote
couw Posted November 25, 2003 Author Report Posted November 25, 2003 look! couw has a new avatar! Quote
couw Posted November 25, 2003 Author Report Posted November 25, 2003 I love it, but what would have been even better would be a typo, like "Crenshaw", followed by a dab of white, like white-out, and the correction being typed over. Dan, how can I refuse you... big-un: Jakie McLean - Right Now! (520 Kb) Quote
king ubu Posted November 25, 2003 Report Posted November 25, 2003 Couw, your new avatar is GREAT! With the "right now!" one, all that's missing now is that nice old-fashioned "ding" when you end the line! ubu Quote
Dan Gould Posted November 25, 2003 Report Posted November 25, 2003 I love it, you ARE da man! Too bad there aren't any Three Sounds covers that are really conducive to this sort of thing, though I guess you could take the "Bottoms Up" cover and have the three drain their glasses. Quote
couw Posted November 25, 2003 Author Report Posted November 25, 2003 You know Dan, there ARE possibilities... I thought it was a pity AfricaJeff didn't use the 3Sounds "Here Come the 3 Sounds" cover to flatten Herbie standing on the street. Quote
WD45 Posted November 25, 2003 Report Posted November 25, 2003 I like the ones without the damn cat or the 'poof' better. Well I like the ones with the cat. Couw's new avatars are great! Cat Shatner is the bomb. I just now got the Gato Barbieri cover. Gato=cat...duh me! Quote
AfricaBrass Posted November 25, 2003 Report Posted November 25, 2003 Thanks Clinton! Couw, I LOVE that Monk avatar! Maybe I can revisit that Hancock cover.... Quote
couw Posted November 26, 2003 Author Report Posted November 26, 2003 Couw, I'm totally blown away by your rendition of Jackie's Bag! Could please please post the large version on YOUR OWN webpage like all the others? I think it may be my favorite. Full sized I couldn't get it below 2Gb without losing too much detail. Even at 200x200 it's a little over 800Kb. You can find it here (click) Quote

I tried to make something out of Bottoms Up, but it's too difficult to do if you want it to be classy. Because I doubt you want James T popping up emptying the glasses with a straw... (though that's a neat idea as well ) So, I did Live at the Lighthouse instead and as always, a big one: 3 Sounds - Live at the Lighthouse (650Kb) Edited November 26, 2003 by couw Quote
Dan Gould Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 Very good my friend, and thank you for not incorporating James T. Cat! Quote
Parkertown Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 Thanks John, got it! It's great! Surely you meant 2MB? Quote
Jim Dye Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 AfricaBrass, We need our Cat Shatner fix! Perhaps one for the holiday weekend? Quote
AfricaBrass Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 Thanks for asking, Jim! I was starting to think the James T. Cat/Cat Shatner backlash had begun. I'll start thinking about his newest adventure .... Quote
Jim Dye Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 No backlash, here! I think he should officially be named as our board mascot. A co-worker of mine really enjoys the Cat. I show him all the animations. He's always asking me when and if there is a new one! Quote
Joe G Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 He's still hanging around in my posts. B) Quote
AfricaBrass Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 Cool! It's probably just all the NyQuil cold medicine getting to my head. Quote
AfricaBrass Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 (edited) or... if you prefer black and white... Edited November 26, 2003 by AfricaBrass Quote
jazzypaul Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 And now for where I show my ignorance... If one wanted to steal one of these for an avatar because one saw one of his single favorite Donald Byrd albums used, how would one go about doing this? One wants to know. Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 Jazzypaul, I would think the easiest way is to choose the picture of your choice, right click on it (you're using a PC, right?) and "save as". Save it somewhere you'll remember (like on your desktop). Then go into "My Controls" at the upper right of any Organissimo Forum page, choose "Edit Avatar Settings" and then use the "browse" button to find the picture you just saved. Hit UPLOAD and you're all set. Quote
jazzypaul Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 (edited) Thank you sire... and thank you AB... and thank you Cat Shatner. My holidays are now complete. Edited November 26, 2003 by jazzypaul Quote
Big Al Posted November 26, 2003 Report Posted November 26, 2003 Royal Flush??!?!? I woulda thought THE CAT WALK would've been the more obvious choice! Quote
