Larry Kart Posted January 17, 2009 Report Posted January 17, 2009 You might be asking in the wrong place? Quote
Larry Kart Posted January 17, 2009 Report Posted January 17, 2009 Also, the offer right off the bat to pay for information makes one uneasy/suspicious. Urgent questions, relevant to this group's likely body of knowledge, have been asked here before and answered quite readily without money being waved around. One wonders whether this is an attempt to eventually glom onto personal information or something else nefarious. Quote
leftright Posted January 17, 2009 Author Report Posted January 17, 2009 sorry that it comes off that way but i seriously am racking my brain to find this i have no intentions on getting anyone's information i just really love music and would love to know this song my sincere apologies to everyone here Quote
leftright Posted January 17, 2009 Author Report Posted January 17, 2009 You might be asking in the wrong place? i thought this was a good place to ask if you don't mind me asking, could you please point me to a place that this question might be better suited for? Quote
JSngry Posted January 17, 2009 Report Posted January 17, 2009 Dude, I tried, believe me. Like you, it sounded familiar, but I couldn't place it exactly. As to where to go, try this: http://www.beyondjazz.net/ They got forums like this one and the nature of that music lends itself very nicely to your query. No promises, but hey... Quote
leftright Posted January 17, 2009 Author Report Posted January 17, 2009 thank you so much for replying, i really do appreciate everyone's help here on this one and i will try that other place and ask there i even tried messaging the actual guy in the video but he never replied back to me Quote
JSngry Posted January 17, 2009 Report Posted January 17, 2009 If you ever find out, please let us know. I for one am curious! Quote

rostasi Posted January 21, 2009 Report Posted January 21, 2009 (edited) Don't know if yer still around, but: Damu picked it up from Madvillain (MF Doom) from the "Rhinestone Cowboy" cut which is a mix of about 3 short samples. (There's an instrumental version too). "People" say that it's from the Novi Singers cut "Jeansy," but I've got "Jeansy" and it doesn't sound a thing like it, so if I were you, I'd contact the Stones Throw messageboard and see if they can help you out. ® Edited January 21, 2009 by rostasi Quote
