Brute Posted December 4, 2008 Report Posted December 4, 2008 I have the Esquire All-American Hot Jazz Sessions CD (Bluebird/Victor) and I love it. There are some really great combos on there but I especially like the two tracks that feature Armstrong, Ellington, and Hodges. Can anyone tell me if Armstrong & Hodges ever recorded anything else together? Thanks. Quote
jazztrain Posted December 4, 2008 Report Posted December 4, 2008 Interesting question. I can't think of any others. Based on information in an on-line Armstrong discography, those are the only two sides on which Armstrong and Hodges appear together. Can someone with the Jos Willems discography confirm that these are the only ones? I have the Esquire All-American Hot Jazz Sessions CD (Bluebird/Victor) and I love it. kh1958 Posted December 4, 2008 Report Posted December 4, 2008 I don't know, but you did inspire me to buy an inexpensive used copy of the CD, which I didn't have. Thanks. Quote
