This is the name of the new album from The New Jazz Composers Octet, and I think it is great. I have been listening most of the morning, it is a big warm sound played by very good musicians. Their sound is of a much bigger band and the composition are good, sa is the arranging. Give it a listen and see what you think.

I bypassed this on eMusic where there was no mention of players, but you prompted me to Google, and the players are worth mentioning: David Weiss, Greg Tardy, Xavier Davis, Dwayne Burno and Nasheet Waits I am familiar with, while Myron Walden, James Farnsworth, Jimmy Greene and Dave Rickenburg are new to me. Added it to my Save For Later. Two earlier albums are listed.

Actually this is the personnel from our first CD from 1999 or 2000.....

The group on this CD is David Weiss, Xavier Davis, Dwayne Burno, Nasheet Waits, Myron Walden, Jimmy Greene, and Steve Davis.
