prob. w/ new Mike Wofford Trio + bob cooper lp on Discovery

1st, the hole in the middle of lp is too small and its a tight fit on the player--- 2: it plays all wobbly, like the speed drops like every 6 seconds, for like a second- lather rince repeat.

if i made the middle whole bigger would this solve the problem?

I think they are unrelated problems. Not sure about the hole being too small, but it sounds like either way you just have a warped disc. Sucks.

hellz no dawg! i fixed it...filed a teeny tiny bit of the hole- now drops on the player perfectly, and bobby cooper with mike wofford trio are ripping it at 33 1/3 even!!!!!

I bought a rat tail file just for that problem. I've never encountered the vari-pitch issue with the small spindle hole though.

Yeah, the old Dansette record players in the sixties used to behave like that sometimes. They didn't have much of a friction mat so, if the spindle hole was too tight, the disc could sometimes slow a bit.

I use a nail file to make the holes bigger; just twist it around in the hole for a second or two.
