mikeweil Posted November 11, 2008 Report Posted November 11, 2008 Can anyone help me with this site? I've been looking to buy this set, and the price looks good, but I know no German. Thanks! Perez Prado Box Set Their e-mail can be found on this webpage - I couldn't find any any webshop, but I'd say e-mail and ask them. Quote
hepcat1950 Posted November 11, 2008 Report Posted November 11, 2008 Well, that's really bad luck! I called the guy who is running the Musicland in Erlangen. He told me that he just went bankrupt and the bank just cleared his stock. He wasn't able to find the item in his database anyway. So the reference given by INXTERBOOK is no longer valid. Sorry, I would've been glad to be of help with this. Quote
Alec Posted November 11, 2008 Author Report Posted November 11, 2008 Wow! Those were some quick responses. Thanks for the help. The search for the Perez Prado boxed set continues! Quote
robviti Posted November 11, 2008 Report Posted November 11, 2008 i like perez quite a bit, but do you really need that much prado? Quote
peterintoronto Posted November 16, 2008 Report Posted November 16, 2008 I found a set being offered on www.ebay.de (eBay Germany), but you may have to ask the seller if he/she will ship internationally. Sitting at 60 Euros with no bids, so it looks promising! Link to auction --> http://tinyurl.com/6l95fj Quote

Alec Posted November 16, 2008 Author Report Posted November 16, 2008 Thanks! I sent them a message, so we'll see what happens, although it looks like I have to be registered with eBay of Germany to bid? Quote

See my post #7. When you are registered with eBay.com, you're also registered with the European eBay sites. Quote
Alec Posted November 16, 2008 Author Report Posted November 16, 2008 Hans, Thanks. I guess the search continues. Quote
J.A.W. Posted November 16, 2008 Report Posted November 16, 2008 Hans, Thanks. I guess the search continues. Why don't you ask a member who lives in Germany to help you? Quote
peterintoronto Posted November 17, 2008 Report Posted November 17, 2008 (edited) Hans, Thanks. I guess the search continues. So, will they ship outside of Germany? No harm in asking! Also, you can probably do a bank transfer by getting their account info and going to your branch and explaining what you want to do. Edited November 17, 2008 by peterintoronto Quote
J.A.W. Posted November 17, 2008 Report Posted November 17, 2008 (edited) Hans, Thanks. I guess the search continues. So, will they ship outside of Germany? No harm in asking! Not everyone on this planet speaks English. Maybe the German seller is one of them, or simply doesn't want to be bothered with international shipping. The details of his auction clearly say that he only ships within Germany. Also, you can probably do a bank transfer by getting their account info and going to your branch and explaining what you want to do. International bank transfers from outside the eurozone are often very expensive, and I'm not even talking about the unfavourable exchange rates. Edited November 17, 2008 by J.A.W. Quote

Maybe the German seller is one of them, or simply doesn't want to be bothered with international shipping. The details of his auction clearly say that he only ships within Germany. I never suggested that everyone on this planet speaks English. The buyer is new to eBay, and perhaps didn't even mean to contain his sale to Germany. I've been selling on eBay since 2000, and I've had to edit plenty of posts because I messed up the shipping/payment options. We're trying to help the man find an obscure box here, Mr. J.A.W., and it doesn't do any harm to ask the seller any questions. Quote
Alec Posted November 19, 2008 Author Report Posted November 19, 2008 Not sure if anyone from Germany can help me on this one, but I did hear from the seller and he will ship internationally. The only problem is how to bid on the item (my US ebay username and password don''t work on the German site) and how to get the money to him. He doesn't speak much English, and I took Spanish in high school so trying to communicate directly is proving difficult. Anyhow, if anyone has any ideas, let me know. I'd be happy to pay a commission to anyone who could help broker a deal. Thanks! Quote
