24 is Back

Yeah...I'm hooked again. I was sitting there wondering which of the characters was going to turn this time. I'm suspicious of Kim's boyfriend, the President's brother, the computer geek who argued with Kim, etc.

Jack's been through the mill, but it looks like he's going COLD TURKEY (!) right in front of us...as we watch!

The only really predictable scene for my money was Salazar's "pen through the neck" trick. I saw that coming.

i really couldnt believe how jack now has a heroin addiction. that is out of conrtol. what in the fucking-ass hell? did you see that, at the very end. oh my god. oh and it almost wasnt worth it to have no commerical intruptions w/ that crazy ass 24-ripoff ford commerical. that was the gayest thing ive ever seen. that should go down as the #1 cheesy ad ever

By the way, did anybody else notice that after 15 mediocre-to-awful episodes, this show is suddenly awesome again?

I've only seen just a handful of 24, maybe one or two episodes per season. But I saw last night's, and last week's -- and was pretty much on the edge of my seat.

This is the kind of show I typically forget to watch, but I might just tune in next week. I don't watch much network TV - but 24 strikes me as being better than average -- at least from what little I've seen.

My co-worker and I used to be avid fans. he quit watching but I have to see how all these unrelated plot devices come together or not. This show has jumped a school of sharks in my opinion. What hotel manager is going to act like this one does? He is the most obedient person I've ever seen. And agreeing to kill Chappelle? And what about the husband Cheryl helped to kill? What was that all about? And the President's girlfriend, what happened to her? What was the purpose of her and her ex husgand? Tony nearly dies from a gunshot wound and is back to work the same day? What about the stolen baby at CTU HQ? I'm surprised they haven't inlcuded a subplot about constipation. I haven't a clue what is going on anymore and I haven't missed an episode. I missed Sopranos for 24.

By the way, it was surprising to see Senator John Kerry... I mean John Keeler... come back into the picture last night. (Seriously... could they have made his banners look any more like Kerry's?)

Well, even though I've missed many episodes this season, I watched the finale. This show has gotten predictable and boring. You can pretty much predict what's going to happen anymore (I knew immediately that Jack was going to have to cut off Chase's hand) -I think it's officially suffering from "premise overload".

I was totally into it in season one, in season two I started to fade, and now I'm just not interested.

Pretty lame ending, too. No surprises. Yawn...........

Oh come on. "Immediately?" You mean *prior* to Chase locking his hand to the bomb? No - the predictable way was for Jack to defuse the bomb in the last second, as they do in countless TV and movie thrillers. Chopping off Chase's hand with axe is pretty damn ballsy by TV standards.

By "immediately" I meant as soon as Chase had that thing locked on his arm, and said that there was no key. I said to my wife "I'll bet Jack's gonna have to cut off his hand in order to stop the thing from going off". And then, of course, he did manage to get the bomb into the fridge with just a second or two to spare. Come on, that's been done too many times. I thought that they would do SOMETHING different! This would have been the ideal one to have a bad ending.

JACK BAUER WAS OUT OF CONTROL ALL SEASON. REMEMBER THE VERY VERY LAST SCENE OF THIS SEASON, WHEN JACK WAS SITTING THERE IN THE CAR NOT SAYING ANYTHING. I THOUGHT HE WAS ABOUT TO PULL OUT HIS KIT AND COOK UP A NICE BIG FIX NOW THAT THE DAY WAS FINALLY DONE. 10 SECONDS INTO THAT SCENE AND I WAS CONVINCED THAT WHAT WAS GONNA HAPPEN. IN REAL LIFE THATS WHAT JACK WOULD OF DONE, BUT TO PLEASE THE WOMEN VIEWERS THEY MADE JACK CRY. INFACT A LOT OF THE SHIT THIS SEASON WAS LIKE THAT , IE. ALL THE EXTRA TIME WASTED ON THE TONY ALMEDIA/MICHELLE DESLER ROMANCE SUBPLOT. TONY WAS SUCH AN IDIOT. HE SHOULD GO TO JAIL FOR LETTING AMADOR ESCAPE NO QUESTION ABOUT IT. SHOULD THEY KILL HIM? NO, BEACUSE ALL AND ALL HE HAS A DISTINGISHED RECORD BUT HE WILL GET 20 YEARS MIN THAT IS CERTAIN WE KNOW. HOW THE HELL DID ALL THE CITIES GET THE VIRUSES SO EASY. I WONDER WHAT WAS LEFT OUT THERE. YOU DONT KNOW HOW HAPPY I AM SHERRY IS DEAD. THAT BITCH CAN ROT IN HELL. BUT YOU KNOW I REALLY SENSE A SPINOFF SHOW FOR NEXT SEASON--- CALLED CHLOE'S BABY: CTU FROM THE BABYS PERSPECTIVE. THAT WOULD BE SO FUNNY. A POSSIBLE STORYLINE COULD BE THE BABY TAKING A POOPY IN TECH-ONE. HAHA OR EVEN BETTER: RYAN CHAPPELES GHOST COMES BACK FROM HELL TO HANUT JACK BY CONSTANTANTLY REPEATING: "IM JUST TRYING TO COVER MY BASES HERE" OR "THATS TOTALLY AGAINST PROTOCOL"
