papsrus Posted May 27, 2009 Report Posted May 27, 2009 After careful consideration, I'm taking the Magic in this series. Quote
Noj Posted May 27, 2009 Report Posted May 27, 2009 Safe to say Cleveland's entire franchise is hanging in the balance. If (when) they get knocked out, LeBron walks--likely to Jay-Z's (Brooklyn) Nets and the new arena. LBJ stands to make $100 million+ in his Nike contract if he moves to a major market, and has already stated his desire to be the first billionaire ballplayer. The Nets will have the money to spend on LeBron and then some. I'm still waiting for the Lakers to play a good game against the McNuggets. Quote

AFAIK, the Knicks have little room to maneuver for the next batch of free agents. Same with LA. Bulls have a bit more space, but it probably means dumping Ben Gordon and/or Luol (maybe, just maybe Reinsdorf would agree on paying the luxury tax if it meant getting LeBron). Nets probably do have the most room of the major market teams. Never say never, but I don't think the financing for their new arena will come together, and the Nets will ultimately end up in Newark. Soulstation1 Posted May 28, 2009 Report Posted May 28, 2009 Another example of why it is tough being a Cleveland sports fan I just expect the worst and then I won't be disappointed Quote
Soulstation1 Posted May 29, 2009 Report Posted May 29, 2009 IMO Trust Me on this one Both series going to game 7's Still think it will be the Cavs and Thuggets winning Quote
Dave James Posted May 30, 2009 Report Posted May 30, 2009 From the looks of the game tonight, the Lakers are in the finals. Anyone want to bet that by some strange coincidence, the Cavaliers will beat Orlando tomorrow night and then win at home on Monday? Personally, I wouldn't put anything by David Stern and the NBA. Up over and out. Quote
Soulstation1 Posted May 30, 2009 Report Posted May 30, 2009 (edited) # 24 / Lakers beating the Thuggets down tonight It's been a drag without cable for the. EC/WC Finals Edited May 30, 2009 by Soulstation1 Quote
Matthew Posted May 31, 2009 Report Posted May 31, 2009 Orlando up by eighteen at the half. I don't think even LeBron can pull this one out. Quote
Free For All Posted May 31, 2009 Report Posted May 31, 2009 Cavs look awful. Looks like the end of the road tonight. Quote
Chalupa Posted May 31, 2009 Author Report Posted May 31, 2009 It's bad enough that they no longer call traveling in the NBA but now it seems they have also done away with moving picks as well. I think of the 3 major sports the NBA officiating is the worst. Quote
Matthew Posted May 31, 2009 Report Posted May 31, 2009 $hit Look on the bright side, you always have the Indians.. Quote
Matthew Posted May 31, 2009 Report Posted May 31, 2009 I like the Caped Crusader's line right now: 33 pts. 12 boards 4 assist. Quote
Matthew Posted May 31, 2009 Report Posted May 31, 2009 I don't think I can take a Van Gundy final -- enough is enough! Quote
Soulstation1 Posted May 31, 2009 Report Posted May 31, 2009 IMO Don't sleep on Orlando 2-0 vs Lakers this season If Phil loses to Stan Van Dummy he better retire Lakers have the big men to guard D-Howard IMO Quote
Matthew Posted May 31, 2009 Report Posted May 31, 2009 IMO Don't sleep on Orlando 2-0 vs Lakers this season If Phil loses to Stan Van Dummy he better retire Lakers have the big men to guard D-Howard IMO The Lakers will have problems with Howard, he seems too much for the Laker big guys. I wonder if Gasol will cover him? Van Gumby, winning a NBA title -- the horror! Quote
Soulstation1 Posted May 31, 2009 Report Posted May 31, 2009 I wonder who The Daddy is picking to win the ring? Lol Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted May 31, 2009 Report Posted May 31, 2009 It just goes to show that a real center is still the most valuable player in this league. Howard is really the only real center playing these days besides Shaq, who is on the decline. When you have someone that big and that powerful under the basket, it makes it really hard for other teams to do much of anything. And Howard is a frickin' beast. Quote
Jim R Posted May 31, 2009 Report Posted May 31, 2009 IMO Trust Me on this one Both series going to game 7's Still think it will be the Cavs and Thuggets winning You've lost my trust. The finals should be interesting. The only thing I'm certain about so far... Craig Sager is one total buffoon. Quote
Chalupa Posted June 1, 2009 Author Report Posted June 1, 2009 (edited) LeBron says loss does not effect his future status w/ Cleveland..... http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/playoffs/200...e=ESPNHeadlines Yeah right. Oh BTW, nice hat. Lakers in 6. Edited June 1, 2009 by J.H. Deeley Quote
Soulstation1 Posted June 4, 2009 Report Posted June 4, 2009 Any guess on who Stan Van Dummy looks like? He's in the HOF in his field of work The commercial with The Black Mamba jumping in the air and landing in LBJ's lambo is freaking funny Quote
Soulstation1 Posted June 5, 2009 Report Posted June 5, 2009 (edited) Game # 1 very very important for each team Lakers 30th finals appearance in 60 years of Lakers b-ball Impressive Lakers in 6 game but Magic could win series Ãf Howard continues his dominance The Black Mamba wants this series badly Edited June 5, 2009 by Soulstation1 Quote
Aggie87 Posted June 5, 2009 Report Posted June 5, 2009 Is that a new nickname? I've never heard it in all the years Kobe's been a Laker. Quote
