Christiern
I did not intend to dominate the thread "I came across...", but that is how it has turned out. I don't mind (although some input is always welcomed), however, it is getting a lot of access and I would like to know what my fellow O'ers and frequent flyers think. Is it becoming a bore? Does it seem so personal that you hesitate to pop in? Should I continue posting? If so, what would you most like to see? I realize that it looks like one big ego trip, but the stuff is coming from my nooks and crannies, so I guess it is inevitable that there's a lot that is related to me. I try to make it somewhat diverse, but it always ends up kinda one-sided. If you have an opinion of this thread, please share it—and don't hold back on criticism. Dan Gould
Chris, you've lived a life in the music in one way or another, and you were friends with a lot of people and its been a great treat to see these personal glimpses into their lives (and yours). So by all means, please continue. The thread obviously gets a lot of traffic because people enjoy seeing what you've dug out of your endless closet. On a separate note, as talented as your Grandpa was, I've probably seen enough of his artwork.
Noj
Chris, it is easily one of my favorite threads on the board. Thank you for sharing all those cool memories and images with us.

Stereojack
Please continue it. I've seen a lot of interesting stuff. We'll take the ego-tripping with a grain of salt.
Clunky
I've really enjoyed it. Many thanks for sharing, I say. agree with all of the above. I enjoy popping in although I've not read the entire thread, many thanks for taking the time, it's a lovely not-so-little treasure chest. JSngry
Chris, you've lived a life in the music in one way or another, and you were friends with a lot of people and its been a great treat to see these personal glimpses into their lives (and yours). I'll wholeheartedly second that & add that you are in essence providing many of us with a "virtual museum" of the music that we would be able to access in no other way. By all means continue! Don Brown
Please don't stop. Chris. The first thing I look for when I open the Organissimo site is your "I came across..." thread. As a guy who's from your generation - I'm a year younger than you - I still remember buying many LPs that you had had a hand in producing. What a treat the the Prestige Bluesville albums with Elmer Snowden and Lonnie Johnson were not to mention the Ida Cox on Riverside, and the wonderful New Orleans series on the same label. I was also always impressed by your catholicity of taste. I got pissed off by so many writers of that time who were unable to appreciate more than one style of jazz. Your mind seemed always open and now so is your closet which has turned out to be a real treasure chest. More please.
AllenLowe
personally I'd like to see more examples of human sacrifice -
Christiern
Much of what you have seen could arguably be classified as human sacrifice. Thanks for all the positive feedback. Edited October 25, 2008 by Christiern

JohnJ
Agree with everybody else, keep on posting Chris! The thread is hugely enjoyable and a fine example of what makes Organissimo such a great board.
Jazzmoose
Chris, I'll confess to not having looked at the thread since very early in it's existence. It's one of those threads that would just frustrate me with dial-up internet service. However, rest assured that I have every intention of checking it out once I move into town and have access to DSL or cable service. And the more the better! But don't feel too flattered; I'm looking forward to the 'sexy album cover' thread again as well... Niko
please continue, indeed it's more of a chris albertson autobiography than a regular thread... but then what's wrong with that, you're easily in a position to fill such a thread with meaning...
