nor is it my fave “late night low key” BN album.

For me, that award would probably go to Grant Green 'Idle Moments'.

My favorite low-key ‘late night’ BN album might be Speak Like a Child — not low-key harmonically, but still not exactly frenetic either.

Yes, that one or Midnight Blue (which is my mental benchmark vs Blue Hour, given mood, presence of ST, and recording of "Gee Baby Ain't I Good to You").

What do y'all do late at night that anything could provide a more....uninterrupted ambiance than Blue Hour? The single CD is even better than the LP in that regard!

I like Stanley (especially with his brother Tommy) especially on the Parlan's. And there is a good few I like after that, " Look Out!", "That's Where It's At," etc. Blue Hour though, and I have the Connie, is a mood swinger towards lounging: Gotta be relaxed and ready to doze with a glass of fine cognac and a cozy fire. To me, otherwise, I don't know why else I'd put this on.

Edit to say, Grant Green's Am I Blue, bypasses the cognac, fire, coziness, etc....unconscious.
