jazzbo Posted February 27, 2009 Report Posted February 27, 2009 (edited) Yes, it's very good, I've gone through the set twice, and played the third disc (my favorite) four times. Mark Wilder did a very nice job with the sound. Edited February 27, 2009 by jazzbo Quote
Dave James Posted February 27, 2009 Report Posted February 27, 2009 (edited) I had only heard Zeitlin once before, many years ago when my ears were not as open. I didn't care much for him then, but when the Select was announced, I decided it was time to reinvest in his music. I must say, I'm glad I did. This one is a keeper. It just might end up being one of my favorite Selects. Up over and out. Edited February 27, 2009 by Dave James Quote

ghost of miles Posted August 5, 2009 Report Posted August 5, 2009 Marc Myers is running a good interview series with Zeitlin over at JazzWax: Denny Zeitlin Part 1 (Pts 2 & 3 up now as well) Quote
Stereojack Posted August 5, 2009 Report Posted August 5, 2009 I picked up the Zeitlin set last month, and along with it was given a replacement booklet which corrects the reversed cover of the original booklet which is sealed inside. I've owned the 4 original LP's for decades, and was really psyched to hear the additional hour of music that is included. Highly recommended! Zeitlin made his first appearance in Boston (ever, I think) last year. He is still playing magnificently. Quote
B. Goren. Posted June 2, 2011 Report Posted June 2, 2011 During the last few days I've been listening a lot to DZ set and I eally enjoy it. Quote
