Jim Alfredson Posted October 8, 2008 Report Posted October 8, 2008 I just got word that our CD Groovadelphia is ranked number 1 on the Top 10 CMJ Jazz CDs. CMJ is the College Music Journal and tracks airplay of college radio stations. So, being number 1 means is that we had more plays than any other disc for last week, nationwide. This Is The Place got as high as #6 on the CMJ, so we're understandably very happy and proud! Here's the complete Top 10: 1) ORGANISSIMO - Groovadelphia (Big O) 2) ANAT COHEN - Notes From The Village (Anzic) 3) DAVE HOLLAND SEXTET - Pass It On (Dare 2) 4) ROY HARGROVE - Ear Food (Groovin'High-Emarcy) 5) KENNY GARRETT - Sketches Of MD: Live At The Iridium (Mack Avenue) 6) S.M.V. - Thunder (Heads Up) 7) RUDRESH MAHANTHAPPA - Kinsmen (Pi) 8) TED NASH - The Mancini Project (Palmetto) 9) MCCOY TYNER - Guitars (Half Note) 10) KATE MCGARRY - If Less Is More...Nothing Is Everything (Palmetto) Quote
