A Lark Ascending Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 I saw this band at Cheltenham a few years back and they were electrifying. Not sure about the bass player but the other two were on board. Quote

Not sure about the bass player but the other two were on board. That was back in 2002. I missed the Cheltenham date but caught them shortly after at Brecon. Unfortunately Drake didn't make that gig. Shahid has been Murrays regular bass player for several years. I first came across him when he was with Roscoe Mitchell. He is also with the Art Ensemble of Chicago.
