B. Goren. Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 After more than 40 years of collaboration, it is about time for a first duo recording of Toshiko Akiyoshi & Lew Tabackin . Tabackin on sax and flute and together they play the music of Duke Ellington. Quote

B. Goren. Posted May 12, 2009 Author Report Posted May 12, 2009 IIRC, I ordered it from Hiroshi Tanno. Quote

I strongly recommend, especially if you like Toshiko and Lew. If you like the duo format, you have another reason to buy this CD. Quote
Hot Ptah Posted May 12, 2009 Report Posted May 12, 2009 (edited) I find their flute-piano duet recording on the title track of Lew's "Rites of Pan" to be very compelling. If the new album is anything like that, I will want to get it. Edited May 12, 2009 by Hot Ptah Quote
