Adam
Any get the new reissue of the box of Getz's Bossa Nova albums? How's it compare to the previous incarnation? http://www.amazon.com/Bossa-Nova-Albums-St...5736&sr=8-
jazzbo
No extra tracks to the albums. Excellent sound!
king ubu
No extra tracks to the albums. Which in my opinion is a loss for "Getz/Gilberto #2" where several instrumental tracks (by the excellent band with Gary Burton if I remember correctly) were added to the original album tracks. What else is missing? "Jazz Samba Encore" had one alternate (or two? no big loss I guess), "Jazz Samba" none, the old CD of "Getz/Almeida" had I think one bonus track (not an alternate). king ubu
"misssing" that is: compared to earlier CD reissues of that previous 4CD box (which had one cut not on any of the single CDs if memory serves me right?), not compared to the original albums, of course - the inclusion of the original albums and nothing else more is the point of this reissue series. Adam
Thanks. I thought there was one as well, but couldn't find it. I think I did my search just in the Reissue forum though, not the Mosaic & box set.
king ubu
Yes, the search function is a bit hit and miss, it seems - doing a google domain-search is more helpful. You find more, but then there you don't immediately see the thread titles and have to open the hits to check out which is the thread you wanted.
