This album was displayed above the cash register at Ann Arbor's Wazoo Records for many years. Wazoo Records has a special place in my heart as the store in which I found many inexpensive Sun Ra albums in the late 1970s and early 1980s.

Wasn't Buddy Ebsen a song-and-dance man originally? He was to be The Tin Man in Wizard of Oz, but was allergic to the aluminum paint.

Interesting. At the time of the recording of this album, he could barely croak out a tune. I saw him promote the album on a late night talk show and it was painful to hear him try to sing. He spoke the words more than sang them.

I've got this one (don't ask me why). It's not good. From what I can remember Anthony just recites lyrics in a husky voice over soapy backgrounds.

Incindentally, that's what Shatner does on his album too. I guess they couldn't sing very well...

THIS album is a trip! A true classic of it's kind.

Absolutely!!! This is a terrific album! On "Who Killed Davey Moore?", Sebastian Cabot sounds like a hard as nails detective determined to get to the bottom of this crime and he's not buying your flimsy alibi, Chester!

How about --
