Hot Ptah Posted August 13, 2008 Report Posted August 13, 2008 This album was displayed above the cash register at Ann Arbor's Wazoo Records for many years. Wazoo Records has a special place in my heart as the store in which I found many inexpensive Sun Ra albums in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Quote

Ted O'Reilly Posted August 20, 2008 Report Posted August 20, 2008 Wasn't Buddy Ebsen a song-and-dance man originally? He was to be The Tin Man in Wizard of Oz, but was allergic to the aluminum paint. Quote
Hot Ptah Posted August 20, 2008 Author Report Posted August 20, 2008 Wasn't Buddy Ebsen a song-and-dance man originally? He was to be The Tin Man in Wizard of Oz, but was allergic to the aluminum paint. Interesting. At the time of the recording of this album, he could barely croak out a tune. I saw him promote the album on a late night talk show and it was painful to hear him try to sing. He spoke the words more than sang them. Quote
Daniel A Posted August 26, 2008 Report Posted August 26, 2008 (edited) I've got this one (don't ask me why). It's not good. From what I can remember Anthony just recites lyrics in a husky voice over soapy backgrounds. Incindentally, that's what Shatner does on his album too. I guess they couldn't sing very well... BruceH Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 THIS album is a trip! A true classic of it's kind. Quote
Hot Ptah Posted October 27, 2008 Author Report Posted October 27, 2008 Featuring Deacon Jones, Merlin Olsen, Roosevelt Grier and Lamar Lundy, of the Los Angeles Rams. Quote
duaneiac Posted October 29, 2014 Report Posted October 29, 2014 THIS album is a trip! A true classic of it's kind. Absolutely!!! This is a terrific album! On "Who Killed Davey Moore?", Sebastian Cabot sounds like a hard as nails detective determined to get to the bottom of this crime and he's not buying your flimsy alibi, Chester! How about -- Quote
