Although a certain consensus seems to have developed regarding Conn's er, dickhood , I get along with him well because we're both interested in chess. So no insults other than the allusion just made...

But I won the playoff pool a couple of years ago (again without being in the regular season competition), so contestants might want revenge.

However it's going to be exciting for the last one as yours truly and Conn are nose to nose for the final week, by the way what are the tiebreaks if we end up with the same score at the end of the week.

Other thing is there a way we can know how do we compare with other people who played in the same kind of settings ?

I'd say Vajjy has an outside shot at winning, especially since the final week games are notoriously difficult to pick.

If there is a tie for first place, I propose that the one who gets the most playoff games correct wins. That would be a fair tiebreaker, imo.

Siunce it is now statistically impossible for me to catch up the leader, i'd like to congratulate Conn on becoming the champion of this contest for a second time in its 4th year of existence

Gotta say he did it in style, picking correctly 9 out of 10 games that started at 1 pm.

Think i'll change my handle for Poulidor, i end up second way too many times in these kind of contests.

Thanks for the kind words Van B! You gave me a terrific scare as we went into the last week tied--all this after I had led the pool since week one!

I really spent a lot of time on the final week's picks, because I wanted to win really BAD!! It was a nice week for me.

Regarding a playoff pool- I didn't see anything on CBS. I'll look on ESPN or Fox Sports. We could also have someone (CONN) be the pool-meister- everyone email picks to him and he keeps tracks of all the picks. Not that many games to keep track of.
