ejp626 Posted August 1, 2008 Report Posted August 1, 2008 Just showed up! Should be able to play it tonight while packing up. Quote
Clunky Posted August 1, 2008 Report Posted August 1, 2008 I got mine a few days ago. Most rounded of the three albums. Love the title track, second track and Arno's tune especially. Harmonica bites man indeed !! Been playing this all day in the car, what a great album, no weak tracks beautifully programmed, great, great sound. New favs are Bleeky and Rhodesia. The latter is a sublime end to the album, reminded me of the Joe Chambers track which ends Hutch's Components. Whole package alpha plus. well done Quote
rachel Posted August 1, 2008 Report Posted August 1, 2008 and Rhodesia. The latter is a sublime end to the album... Quote
Soul Stream Posted August 5, 2008 Report Posted August 5, 2008 Hey ya'll! Got my copy today...Groovadelphia has crossed into Tejas! Congratulations on such a great record. A true group sound and the compositions and playing are phenomenal, keep on keepin' on ya'll! Quote
Noj Posted August 5, 2008 Report Posted August 5, 2008 Giving this yet another spin as I type. I love the variety of compositions. Quote
papsrus Posted August 5, 2008 Report Posted August 5, 2008 Groovadelphia is my first exposure to Organissimo! I've given it four or fives spins now since it arrived a few days ago and am thoroughly digging it. Kicking things off this morning with another spin. Nice way to start the day! Quote

Werf Posted August 20, 2008 Report Posted August 20, 2008 After one spin + drinking, I greatly enjoyed. I'm going to listen to this drunk, high, and even sober. Quote
connoisseur series500 Posted August 20, 2008 Report Posted August 20, 2008 I think it is the best of the Organissimo cds. Strong tunes throughout and it is difficult to pick favorites. I like both the ballads and the funky stuff. Track 3 is the weakest in my opinion, but the remainder are all strong. Some really beautiful tracks. The tune w/ the harmonica sounds like "Moanin'" at the beginning then takes off! Title track really grooves. To me there is a very mature sound to this cd, which lifts it above the other two. Glad to see you guys are still laying down some good music and are even improving your sound. I know that my reservations about track 3 will get highlighted and quoted by other posters while my full appreciation of the whole cd will be downplayed as a result, but I value this cd as a real treasure in my music collection. Jim Alfredson Posted August 20, 2008 Report Posted August 20, 2008 Funny, because I've heard from a lot of people that track 3 is their favorite. To each his own! There is something for everyone on the disc. Quote
