RiRiIII Posted July 16, 2008 Report Posted July 16, 2008 I own the Herbie Hancock Box (the first release as a cube). My question is if there is in this box any more documentation than the booklet that includes the track list and Hancock's comments. In the review of AMG it is mentioned that there are "goergeous reproductions of the LP sleeves" which I cannot find anywhere in my cube and booklet. Many thanks. Best Alex Quote
Rosco Posted July 16, 2008 Report Posted July 16, 2008 It's a Thom Jurek review. What he doesn't know, he makes up. Quote
Nate Dorward Posted July 16, 2008 Report Posted July 16, 2008 Plus he probably got an advance copy with only minimal packaging. Quote
ejp626 Posted July 16, 2008 Report Posted July 16, 2008 That's a shame. I have the Herbie 60s Sessions box, and it has great notes (the original liners are reproduced and then there is a lot of discussion of Herbie's sideman dates which I found really interesting). The album covers are in there but not a whole lot larger than thumbnails. I just pulled it out the other day and was listening to the first two discs. Quote
BruceH Posted July 16, 2008 Report Posted July 16, 2008 So I take it THIS Herbie is not fully loaded. Quote
