Shawn
I used to have this album on vinyl and I remember "Teacher" being on the album. The 2001 CD remaster has a slightly different track listing and Teacher is a bonus track. Problem is I can't quite figure out what song "wasn't" on the original US version of the album. CD track listing: 1. With You There To Help Me 2. Nothing To Say 3. Alive And Well And Living In 4. Son 5. For Michael Collins, Jeffrey & Me 6. To Cry You A Song 7. A Time For Everything? 8. Inside 9. Play In Time 10. Sossity; You're A Woman Bonus Tracks 11. Singing All Day 12. Witch's Promise 13. Just Trying To Be 14. Teacher (Original UK Mix)
Son-of-a-Weizen
Incredible that 'Teacher' is listed as a bonus cut? I always figured it for the numero uno track on the LP. Here's the original track order on my vinyl (CHR 1043) Side One: 1. With You There To Help Me 2. Nothing To Say 3. Inside 4. Son 5. For Michael Collins, Jeffrey & Me Side Two: 1. To Cry You A Song 2. A Time For Everything? 3. Teacher 4. Play In Time 5. Sossity; You're A Woman
Shawn
My guess is that the CD remaster matches the UK version of the album. So it looks like the song not on the LP was "Alive and Well and Living In". While the song Inside is in a different position. Thanks for the info. My favorite tune on this album was always "To Cry You A Song".
dave9199
Alive & Well & Living In is the one added on the remaster.
Alexander
Here's the wikipedia entry, which confirms that the US and UK tracklistings were different. "Teacher" seems to have been a non-LP single in the UK that was added to the US album (a la "Radio, Radio" being added to "This Year's Model" or "Watching the Detectives" being added to "My Aim is True," both by Costello). Parkertown
The song Teacher also exists in two different mixes...just to make things confusing...heh...
