sidewinder Posted July 17, 2008 Report Posted July 17, 2008 I think the story was that he had at least some of his teeth knocked out in the late 60s - and getting the embrochure back was a real challenge. Must have been around the time of the 'Taru' session. That Fresh Sound Baltimore track is just great - must get hold of that CD. Quote
Jazzmoose Posted July 17, 2008 Report Posted July 17, 2008 Everything I've read says Chevrolet, not Ford, but I don't remember...car commercials weren't on my radar that far back. Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted July 17, 2008 Report Posted July 17, 2008 I remembered it as a Pontiac and thought it was a local New York / New Jersey ad. Quote

Randy Twizzle Posted July 18, 2008 Report Posted July 18, 2008 get him on the case with new jersey tv stations There are no New Jersey TV stations unless you count a couple of NJ Public Broadcasting stations. Quote
chewy-chew-chew-bean-benitez Posted July 19, 2008 Report Posted July 19, 2008 NJ doesnt have its own local news?!??! Quote
Randy Twizzle Posted July 19, 2008 Report Posted July 19, 2008 NJ doesnt have its own local news?!??! There's a half hour high minded nightly New Jersey news show on NJ Public Broadcasting which a few people watch. The local NY and Philly commercial stations cover whichever NJ murders, fires, fatal car crashes, and corrupt pols that they think are worthy of notice. Quote
Dan Gould Posted July 19, 2008 Report Posted July 19, 2008 NJ doesnt have its own local news?!??! New Jersey is a wholly-owned subsidiary of New York City and Philadelphia. Quote
bertrand Posted July 19, 2008 Report Posted July 19, 2008 I used to wonder if the 'other woman' was Humphrey, but that theory was dismissed a while ago. I saw the name a year or so ago, I believe it was Judy Johnson. She was going to be interviewed for a documentary that I heard is now on hold. I thought Jeff McMillan's book was going to be out in late June, but now it seems to have been postponed until August. Bertrand. Quote
