robviti
I'm very much looking forward to the 30th anniversary concert with the Akiyoshi Orchestra Friday night at Carnegie Hall. They're featuring the U.S. debut of her latest large-scale composition: Hiroshima Rising from the Abyss. I'm a big fan of Akiyoshi, and the chance to hear jazz at Carnegie is an exciting prospect. Best seats in the house are only $40, which seems very reasonable to me. Chris, are you planning to attend? How about anyone else? Out2Lunch
Read the ad for this concert in the Sunday NY Times with much interest but health matters prevent me from even thinking about it. How about a full report following this event, I too am a big Toshiko fan!
