Ron S
The title of the CD shall be Groovadelphia. Great. Now Ron's gonna gloat for the next 3 yrs. Naaaaaaah, I won't do that until after they've released the next two CDs, Funkadelphia and Greazadelphia (completing the Philly trilogy). Joe G
Just want to publicly mention one thing: although on a musical level this is very much a trio effort, none of us worked harder on this CD at the overall production level than Jim. Early on he thought maybe he was in over his head, with countless obstacles and details to attend to, and a lot riding on the end result. But he rose to the occasion time and again with ingenuity and a major dose of stick-to-itiveness. Major kudos, bro - you got skillz! Parkertown
From knowing him on this board, Jim does in fact amaze me at his willingness to share parts of his life. He's handles things in an extremely mature (but fun) manner. I find him to be a stand up guy...and I can tell he's a good father/husband. I've really come to admire him. I wish I could get my shit together like him. I'd recommend getting Jim a nickname as soon as possible... I'll start... Jim "The Man" Alfredson... Jim "Big Balls" Alfredson... "Daddy" Jim Alfredson... Edited June 19, 2008 by Parkertown
Jim Alfredson
Thanks, Joe and Randy. It was a fun project to do and I'm already looking forward to the next. Thanks for all the orders coming in today. You have until midnight on the 21st to have your name put in the credits if you purchase levels 4 through 8. That means 12:00am FRIDAY night! I have to send all the artwork and the master out to Discmakers on Saturday for a Monday delivery so we can get this project rolling! The Magnificent Goldberg
So long as we're not all "patronising bastards", I'm cool to be ranked with George II, if O is cool to be ranked with Handel MG
Jim Alfredson
There's less than 24 hours to get your name in the CD artwork! I have to send everything out on Saturday, so the deadline to get your name in the artwork for Patron Levels 4-8 is Friday, 12:00am EST! Saturday morning it's going in the mail! A big thank you to everyone who has participated thus far. If you're on the fence, hop on down and get in!

GregN
Listening to the final Glenn Brown mastering job.... And in my ever obsessive nature I am comparing it to all sorts of major label releases. Jim and I spent hours upon hours getting sounds right in his basement studio, but I never imagined that the end product would surpass, to such a grand extent, what we got in a world class studio with previous projects. That is, this record sounds better than the last two both musically AND in terms of sound quality. The last two were completely recorded in a very serious studio. This one was tracked in a basement, and done old school with no headphones and with eye to eye contact. The vibe and the sonic quality is all there. I truly believe this is the record that is going to break organissimo through... yeah, it means Root Doctor will likely need another organist but we'll get by. I am just very excited for Jim and the boys. They worked so freakin hard to get to this point. ...has all the markings of a future classic. The samples don't even come close to doing the full disc justice. Amazing piece of work! Congrats Jim, Joe, and Randy. You cats should be proud. g
vajerzy
Can I still order Patron #4 even if it's on or after June 21st?
Jim Alfredson
Yes, we just can't put your name in the Thank You's in the CD artwork. I sent everything out today, so what's done is done. But you can still order any of the patron levels. Thanks!
Patrick
Jim, No recent "patronizing" comments on either of these threads. If you'd care to share, how are you doing now numbers-wise?I got in late last weekend. [And understood, if you'd care not to.] Patrick
Jim Alfredson
We raised about half of what we wanted to. Not bad. The CDs are due to be delivered here around July 12th!
