Ron Carter copy controlled problems!

hi to everyone,

my copy "RON CARTER - THE GOLDEN STRIKER" "copy-controlled" CD can not be played on my CD-Player "SONY X33ES"!

That´s great!

This is my first "copy-controlled" CD, I am going to buy no one more!!!

Well,

after 2 hours… I tried again, again, again…….and now my Sony can play the disc.

Something like that never happened before.

Very strange thing...

Maybe my Sony needs a “warm up” for "copy-controlled" CDs!

So, what the hell are people supposed to do if they buy a "CD" (or what they think is a CD), only to discover that it won't play on most of their CD-playing devices??

Thankfully we don't have this problem in the U.S. - but I fear that this won't last forever.

Copy-controlled or not. It is a very lovely Trio session. Together with his previous release "Stardust" his best output for years.

BTW, the sound of the copy controlled edition is fine.

HK, why not find someone who has Musicmatch on their computer? With this, you can feed any analog sound through the sound card onto the hard-drive, where it is then digital. I use this to transfer LPs to CDr, for convenience and to save wear and tear on the vinyl. I cannot tell the difference between the final CDr and the original sound source.

All you would need is a CD player that will play that CD once.

So far, I have not even laid eyes on a controlled CD, and I don't think I would buy one. That's sad, as zweitausendeins.de has good prices on RVGs.
