Noj Posted May 22, 2008 Report Posted May 22, 2008 All mistakes thus far, terminated early, not all as a result of faults belonging to the woman in question, but knucklehead Noj. The paint is peelin' off the walls The floor is as cold as it can be As I lay here hummin' a tune I'm goin' crazy in my lonely room Lord please tell me what is wrong Why must I be so all alone Where can she be, when she should be at home Here in my lonely room I'm goin' cra-a-azy soon Here in my lonely room... Ed S Posted May 22, 2008 Report Posted May 22, 2008 (edited) Wife cheated. Got a divorce. Same tell-tale signs as Jazzbo saw. What I learned was that if you suspect something, then it's probably happening. The signs are obvious in hindsight. At the time, I just rationalize them away. New friends, new sexy underwear (a big clue), new cellphone, etc., etc. I remember I grabbed her cellphone instead of mine one day by mistake as I headed to work. She freaked. Told me to turn it off and put it away somewhere. ... Much of a clue there? I blew it off as her being possessive of her phone or something. Crystal clear now why she freaked. hmmmm..... Larry Kart Posted May 23, 2008 Report Posted May 23, 2008 On our first date she said with much feeling, and seemingly from out of nowhere, "Promise me you'll never hurt me." What a red flag that should have been. Two or so years later (Lord!) I broke up with her to save my soul and skin, and boy did she make it clear that I had hurt her. It was like being a character in someone else's play (though I'll admit that the encompassing sad drama of this woman's life was very dramatic). Quote
