EKE BBB Posted May 21, 2008 Report Posted May 21, 2008 Mike: for several reasons, I'm afraid I won't be able to compile the August 2008 BFT. Please, move me to the end of the list. Regards, AgustÃn Quote
mikeweil Posted May 21, 2008 Author Report Posted May 21, 2008 Okay - so now it looks like this: # 58 - Dmitry - June 2008 # 59 - wordsandsounds - July 2008 # 60 - Eloe Omoe - August 2008 # 61 - fent99 - September 2008 # 62 - Mr. Bassman - October 2008 # 63 - Claude Bartee - November 2008 # 64 - sidewinder - December 2008 # 65 - Durium - January 2009 # 66 - The Magnificent Goldberg - February 2009 # 67 - Nate Dorward - March 2009 # 68 - RDK - April 2009 # 69 - Dan Gould - May 2009 # 70 - Thom Keith - June 2009 # 71 - Bill Barton - July 2009 # 72 - EKE BBB - August 2009 # 73 - mikeweil - September 2009 The Magnificent Goldberg volunteered to step up - anbody else? Any objections? Quote
Dan Gould Posted May 21, 2008 Report Posted May 21, 2008 The Magnificent Goldberg volunteered to step up - anbody else? Any objections? I'd give it a little more time - I think there are people ahead of MG who should have the chance to step up first. We've also got a few days in May to sort it out. I kind of have a feeling that there are some people on the list who have wandered away from here and may not be ready or interested anymore. Quote

Absolutely - as I said, if no one ahead of me wants to have a go. MG Quote
mikeweil Posted May 28, 2008 Author Report Posted May 28, 2008 Up - now who's gonna do the next one, please? Quote
Dan Gould Posted May 28, 2008 Report Posted May 28, 2008 Up - now who's gonna do the next one, please? Mike - it certainly looks like MG should take the next one, I don't understand though why no one who is closer to the top of the list has checked in about this. A quick check shows that just about everyone has visited the board recently except for Mr. Bassman, Dmitry, and Claude Bartee. Quote
mikeweil Posted May 29, 2008 Author Report Posted May 29, 2008 Saw Mr. Bassman today at the rehearsal - we're both too busy with too many things to step up. Since nobody else volunteered, I'd say MG has the go! I'll move Dmitry to the bottom ofthe list - won't delete his name unless he wishes so. Quote

sidewinder Posted May 29, 2008 Report Posted May 29, 2008 (edited) Thanks for the reminder on this. Time to get thinking about the BFT selections.. I'm thinking of one of the disks with British and other European Jazz, if that is OK with everyone. Edited May 29, 2008 by sidewinder Quote

You're not supposed to tell us the theme - we're supposed to guess it OK, I'll start a thread for sign-ups later today. MG Quote
mikeweil Posted June 24, 2008 Author Report Posted June 24, 2008 Up - same problem again. wordsand sounds, who signed for # 59, didn't answer my PM ... Quote
tkeith Posted June 24, 2008 Report Posted June 24, 2008 Up - same problem again. wordsand sounds, who signed for # 59, didn't answer my PM ... I'd be willing, but I'm pretty far down the list. Question -- does one need to give up their spot if they 'step up'? Also, I'll be out of contact traveling for next few days, but I'm ready at the drop of a hat. Quote
mikeweil Posted June 24, 2008 Author Report Posted June 24, 2008 (edited) wordsandsounds was last seen on the board on June 22 - I sent him another e-mail. But I wouldn't see a problem in your stepping up. I haven't seen Eloe Omoe for a while either and suppose he's too busy, and know that Mr. Bassman will only be ready by October. Don't know about fent 99. Yes your previous position would be eliminated, but you always can sign up for another one. Edited June 24, 2008 by mikeweil Quote
fent99 Posted June 24, 2008 Report Posted June 24, 2008 Just a note to say that I'm fine for September but won't be ready for sooner (though I'll get it ready over the next few weeks) Cheers Colin Quote

wordsandsounds Posted June 25, 2008 Report Posted June 25, 2008 I pm'ed mikeweil as well... mikeweil Posted June 25, 2008 Author Report Posted June 25, 2008 (edited) Thom Keith offered to step up - if nobody in an earlier spot objects, it's his turn next, I'd say. Edited June 25, 2008 by mikeweil Quote
Dan Gould Posted June 25, 2008 Report Posted June 25, 2008 Thom Keith offered to step up - if nobody in an earlier spot objects, it's his turn next, I'd say. Yeah, I've been jotting down titles but haven't organized anything yet. I really should though so I'll be ready next time someone begs off or can't be tracked down. Quote
Guest Bill Barton Posted June 26, 2008 Report Posted June 26, 2008 (edited) As Thom has stepped up, does that mean that I automatically move ahead a notch to #69? If not, I hereby request it (the number works for me too ). Edited June 26, 2008 by Bill Barton Quote

I'm good swapping my 71 (in deference to the recently parted Mr. Carlin, that is 69 with two fingers up your a**) for this one. Now... can I actually pull off being brutal? *muhahahahahahha* Ooops... I'm an idiot... didn't realize I'd had #69... my wife is going to be so disappointed in me. Edited June 29, 2008 by Thom Keith Quote
