Sceduled for later this year. Will post more details when they are mailed to me by MC. Correction: It's 1951 to '53. All the sessions with Barney Kessel before Herb Ellis joined! king ubu Posted May 14, 2008 Report Share Posted May 14, 2008 Yes, with Kessel it could be interesting enough... don't have much of the trio with Ellis (or the later one with Thigpen) and don't feel like buying much more than I have... but with Kessel - any idea how big that set would be? Unfortunately I think several albums will be incompletely represented on this Mosaic set, since many 12" albums drew their material from different sessions in the 1951-54 period, some with Kessel and some without. And this is a good choice of "theme" and the music that will be found on this set is bound to be quite nice. (What I know of the material is good!)
