Peter Friedman Posted July 29, 2016 Report Posted July 29, 2016 "Pleadin' For Love" is an Ellington tune that few people are likely to know. The only recording of this piece, other than this one by Dado Moroni, is the 1 minute and 47 second version by Ellington on the album - Piano In The Foreground. Here Dado gets to stretch out a bit to 4 minutes and 47 seconds. It is a tune that I find highly appealing, and Moroni plays it marvelously. Quote

Carr owns the song, but King/Evans/Cooder come very close ..... Quote
