jazzbo Posted January 24 Author Report Posted January 24 "Estate" . . . Lynne Arriale Trio "Live at the Montreux Jazz Festiva" . . . not necessarily because of this performance, but because it has reminded how wonderful this composition is. Quote

jazzbo Posted February 24 Author Report Posted February 24 Revisiting this cd. Wow. I shouldn't have let it sit un-listened to for so long since I last spun it. Beautiful music arranged (mostly written by as well) Mario Adnet, and the sound quality is excellent. The final track, "Caravan" is excellent, showing its devotion to the original, and also at the close bringing in what appears to me to be Charles Mingus Shaw-Hafi-Knepper era elements. Love it! This "Caravan" is the best track I've heard all week. (The week is young!)
