Soulstation1 Posted April 2, 2004 Author Report Posted April 2, 2004 (edited) YOUR first place l.a. lakers, on a down year i liked when the man said "diesel is the most expensive, long lasting and "staaaaaannnnkkkkkkkkkkeeeeee"!!!!!!!!!! the league promotes shaq the most in the nba. two things the daddy is ready and looking lean. the lakers d has stepped it up and the lakers are getting the boards. the mailman's arm are phat noboday can out-trash talk the glove kobe is balling is shaq becoming the second banana? shaq must lead the league in free-throw violations from the OTHER TEAM barkley said the pistons vs pacers is like leonard v hagler, "a good middleweight fight" the queens are falling apart. Tjazz Posted April 2, 2004 Report Posted April 2, 2004 the mailman's arm are phat Yeah, would you want to get near him? Malone and Shaq dominate the middle. MUSCLE men Quote
Soulstation1 Posted April 11, 2004 Author Report Posted April 11, 2004 lakers vs queens in a couple hours. shaq was 4-11 from the f/t line last game they should have fox vs christie in a pre-game boxing match, let's see who is tougher the queens are going down in flames, they just lost to phoenix are the pacers for real? who is rookie of da year? ss1 Quote
Noj Posted April 11, 2004 Report Posted April 11, 2004 I bet Fox would ragdoll Christie in a straight up fight. I don't fear any team from the East, not the Pacers, not the Nets, not the Pistons...none of them. LeBron/Melo co-Rookies Of The Year Big game for the Lakeshow. Sactown can't feel too good coming off a loss to the lowly Suns. Quote
Noj Posted April 11, 2004 Report Posted April 11, 2004 Cute first quarter so far. Lakers can't buy a call. Kobe has yet to show up. Quote
doubleM Posted April 11, 2004 Report Posted April 11, 2004 Mailman is playing OK, the rest of LA are stinkin' up the joint! Quote
jack Posted April 12, 2004 Report Posted April 12, 2004 (edited) Looked like a practice game to the Lakers to me. No more injuries before the playoffs. Edited April 12, 2004 by jack Quote
Soulstation1 Posted April 12, 2004 Author Report Posted April 12, 2004 i loved the sign that said "SHAQ"- ramento to floppy d "don't fake da flop, on a nasty dunk" ss1 Quote
Soulstation1 Posted April 13, 2004 Author Report Posted April 13, 2004 the clippers and magic shouldn't be allowed to play anymore games this season. the clippers passed the suns for last place talk about tanking, each has a 13 losing streak ss1 Quote
Soulstation1 Posted April 15, 2004 Author Report Posted April 15, 2004 the lakers might win the west.......... lakers in ot vs jailblazers ss1 Quote
Soulstation1 Posted April 15, 2004 Author Report Posted April 15, 2004 i think the lakers just won in double ot. they would have won the pacific conference and the #2 seed ss1 Quote
Soulstation1 Posted April 15, 2004 Author Report Posted April 15, 2004 kobe just busted a 3 pointer with 1 second left to win the game ss1 Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 Hey ss1, you ever been on any of the ESPN NBA message boards? I swear everyone on those things is mentally challenged. Quote
Soulstation1 Posted April 16, 2004 Author Report Posted April 16, 2004 b3-er i've only posted on this bb and the crappy one on tvland. i'm gonna start up a nba play-offs topic. ss1 Quote
Tjazz Posted April 16, 2004 Report Posted April 16, 2004 I guess Kobe came to play. Lakers have homecourt against Kings or Spurs, what more can you ask for? Will Sacto beat Dallas? Quote
Soulstation1 Posted April 16, 2004 Author Report Posted April 16, 2004 the lakers DO NOT have the home court vs the spurs or tenderwolves. since the t-wolves are #1, the pacific champ is automatically the #2 seed, even if the spurs had 20 more wins than the lakers. when they meet in the second round, the spurs will have home court. this was in the lakers favor afew years back vs the spurs. the queens were #1 and the spurs #2, the lakers had more wins and had home court ss1 Quote
Soulstation1 Posted April 16, 2004 Author Report Posted April 16, 2004 (edited) this is also true in the east the pacers (central?)are #1 nj (47 wins) (atlantic) #2 automatic from other division detroit (54 wins) (central) #3 detroit would have the home court vs everyone else except the pacers pacers have home court through out the playofsf with the best record in the league ss1 Edited April 16, 2004 by Soulstation1 Quote

I was kinda wondering about the seeding system? Doesn't look good that good for the Lakers. The spurs are on a 11 game streak and the Wolves are on a 9 game streak. The queston is, will Horey hit his outside shot or not? (For the Spurs) If he didn't go cold last year from the outside, the Lakers might have been on top. I think the Lakers can handle the Wolves. Not sure about the Spurs. Will the format be 2/2/1/1/1 or 2/3/2? Quote
PHILLYQ Posted April 16, 2004 Report Posted April 16, 2004 Tjazz, I agree with you there on picking the Pistons in the East. The Nets are just too banged up to go that far, with K-Mart & Kidd not 100%. I just don't think the Pacers will go that far, but I've been wrong mannnnny times before, too. The West is a much tougher call, as the Lakers, T-Wolves, Spurs could all take it. For a first round upset, though, I think Denver may surprise everyone. Now go straight to your bookie and bet the house the opposite way and you have a shot... Quote
