Guest che Posted March 20, 2005 Report Posted March 20, 2005 Well today I ran a half marathon (13.5 Miles), took me 2hrs, 5 min and I had my i-pod with me and I had the wondeful album by Markus Stockhausen "Joyosa". At 10 miles I was goosed and the track "Mona" was playing, the best track on the album fro me. Somehow this seemed to help and I managed tyo cross the finish line. Sore but still here Che. Quote
wesbed Posted March 21, 2005 Report Posted March 21, 2005 'Expensive' jazz (a Mosaic box) and 'cheap' beer (a glass of Schlitz), what a great way to end a Sunday evening. Quote

Congrats on the half marathon. I 'run' but enjoy the natural sounds. It's strange, for a person who enjoys music so much, when I 'run' I don't want to hear anything. I listen to the sounds of my body, breathing, shoes hitting the ground, etcetera. Yeah, try running in Tucson during the summer. When I go out in the evening, between eight o'clock and nine o'clock, the temperature will still be hovering near 100°F. It makes you want to lose your enchiladas. Quote
Jazzmoose Posted March 21, 2005 Report Posted March 21, 2005 'Broken record' time again: I listen to KCSM-FM on Sunday mornings. Mainly because I'm at work. Quote

Thanks and I don't know how anyone can run in that heat. I once did the Prague half-marathon and that was pretty hot, but nothing like the temp's you have. I like to run with some music, it has be fairly quite and in the background, but at times it needs to grab my attention. Che. Quote

Jazz Kat Posted March 28, 2005 Report Posted March 28, 2005 I noticed something on that cover. Is that a store owner bending down to avoid camera exposure? Quote
