clifford_thornton Posted March 26, 2008 Report Posted March 26, 2008 i find that 2500 or less milligrams of salt per day and lots of vigorous exercise twice a day and at least 5 hours of sleep per night have allowed me to discontinue blood pressure meds. i am almost entirely in the 110/70 range now without medication. Congratulations, aloc! Quote
Peter Johnson Posted March 26, 2008 Report Posted March 26, 2008 That's often the case at restaurants here in Philadelphia. When the chef/kitchen staff know what they're doing it's terrific! I haven't lifted a salt/pepper shaker in months. You should see the bitching on the food blogs about people who are incensed about "the kitchen's attempts to control what they eat". Give me a break. If it's done right, you shouldn't need a damn shaker on the table! Aloc--so delighted to hear that. Our son Eric is chef at a restaurant in Buffalo. They serve dinner and there are no salt or pepper shakers on the table. Quote
