papsrus Posted March 19, 2008 Report Posted March 19, 2008 The Ictus 30th anniversary box is a 12-CD collection of improvised music. Here's a link to check it out further. From the site: Quote Comprised of duos, trios, orchestras and numerous configurations in between featuring musicians like Steve Lacy, Anthony Coleman, Evan Parker, John Zorn, Tom Cora, John Carter, Gianluigi Trovesi, Derek Bailey, and the Rova Saxophone Quartet among others; the music here is immediate whether recorded 1976 or 2005. I've burned the discs to my hard drive once, that's it, so they're in almost-new condition. It's a $130 value new. I'd be happy to trade for a box set or, if I had to, about 12 individual CDs in good to excellent condition. Here's my current wish list, to give a rough idea of what I'm interested in: 1. Ellington 1936-40 Small Group Mosaic. 2. That Devilin Tune -- Vol. 2 3. Jeff Chan -- "In Chicago" 4. The Chronological Count Basie and His Orchestra -- "1946-47" 5. The Duke at Fargo, 1940: Special 60th Anniversary Edition PM me if interested in setting up a trade. Quote
