Aggie87 Posted October 3, 2003 Author Report Posted October 3, 2003 It's a two-disc set on Tzadik, with Haino Keiji, Bill Laswell, and Rashied Ali. My first tast of Keiji, and it's actually pretty interesting. Not sure what I can compare it to, but it's loud and aggressive. Keiji is an interesting guitar player, and an unusual vocalist as well. Not really lyrics to this one. AMG compares it to Sonic Youth, but I'm not familiar enough with them to decide if that's apt. Only Youth album I had was the Ciccone Youth/Madonna takeoff. Quote
John B Posted October 3, 2003 Report Posted October 3, 2003 I read the AMG review and it does sound interesting. I'll have to check it out at some point. Yeah, the Ciccone Youth album would be no way to start comparing Sonic Youth to this disc. Not enough "guitar freakout" as I believe AMG says. Quote
