Chalupa Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 I think I would have a heart attack if I ever came across one of those. Yikes. Quote
BFrank Posted February 10, 2009 Report Posted February 10, 2009 A couple of pics from the SF Bay on Saturday. Nice cold, crisp light and sky. Quote

Son-of-a-Weizen Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 Is this an example of how the corner shopkeeper 'locks up' for the evening? ...or just an effort to provide shade? Quote
kinuta Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 Is this an example of how the corner shopkeeper 'locks up' for the evening? ...or just an effort to provide shade? Good question. Places like this are fast vanishing to be replaced by ferro-concrete blobs with zero personality. The blinds are for shade but the absence of any kind of security reflects a bygone age when neighbourhood break ins were a rarity. Quote
Son-of-a-Weizen Posted February 13, 2009 Report Posted February 13, 2009 Ahhh, I see. I rather like that photo w/the tidy curb area and all....no unsightly globs of blackened chewing gum about the place. Okay, thanks for that! Quote

A Lark Ascending Posted February 13, 2009 Report Posted February 13, 2009 Sunrises/sunsets never fail to delight, whether over sea, land or cityscape. Nice shots, Chris. I like those winter woods shots too, alocispepraluger102. The middle one has that nice mix of 'almost' patterned yet quite anarchic. Lovely textures too. Quote

Aggie87 Posted February 16, 2009 Report Posted February 16, 2009 (edited) Oh, and had a wonderful Italian meal on Friday night, at La Fourno on South Street in Philadelphia! Not too far from the birthplace of curly-but-not-Curly Larry Fine. Edited February 16, 2009 by Aggie87 Quote
