Guest bluenote82 Posted February 21, 2008 Report Posted February 21, 2008 Does anyone own this album and would like to sale it? I have been tracking it down for about 5 months now. Quote
Larry Kart Posted February 21, 2008 Report Posted February 21, 2008 Copies can be found here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B00...5238&sr=1-1 Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted February 21, 2008 Report Posted February 21, 2008 And there is one on eBay right now. Quote
Guest bluenote82 Posted February 21, 2008 Report Posted February 21, 2008 Copies can be found here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B00...5238&sr=1-1 Yeah, Larry I've been to Amazon. They're way too high. For a decent copy I'll have to $50 and I'm not going to pay that for it. Quote
Guest bluenote82 Posted February 21, 2008 Report Posted February 21, 2008 And there is one on eBay right now. I just came from there, It's got a day or so to go, I'll watch it, but I'm not paying over $20 for that album. The only album I paid $20 for was Mick Goodrick's "In Pas(s)ing" album, which is pretty hard to find and if you do find you'll pay more than $20 for it I guarantee ya. Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted February 21, 2008 Report Posted February 21, 2008 You could always contact her through ArtistShare and see if she has any leftover copies (doubtful). Other than that, if you really want it you might have to buck up and pay the market value for it, which appears to be around $50. Or hope you get lucky on eBay. I once paid $60 for Lonnie Smith's very first solo record on Columbia (vinyl!) Then it came out on re-issued vinyl for $11.99 about a year later. Quote

Wow, well I'd like to have it, but I don't want it that bad. Quote
Aggie87 Posted February 21, 2008 Report Posted February 21, 2008 Then why not buy the one on Amazon for $20 that plays perfectly? :rsly: Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted February 21, 2008 Report Posted February 21, 2008 Yeah, and it's a goodun' too! Funky funky! Keepin' an eye on ebay is probaby your best bet. Quote
Guest Bill Barton Posted February 21, 2008 Report Posted February 21, 2008 It's listed on her website as "temporarily out of print." Let's hope that means a possible licensing through artistShare in the future? Quote
Free For All Posted February 21, 2008 Report Posted February 21, 2008 I don't doubt that it will become available again, probably sooner than later....... Quote
Free For All Posted February 21, 2008 Report Posted February 21, 2008 Ah......ah......ah........ahhhhhhhhhCHOO! Quote
Guest bluenote82 Posted February 21, 2008 Report Posted February 21, 2008 (edited) Then why not buy the one on Amazon for $20 that plays perfectly? :rsly: Because the one for $20 is in "good" condition. I either want it brand new or in "like new" condition. Edited February 21, 2008 by bluenote82 Quote
Guest bluenote82 Posted February 21, 2008 Report Posted February 21, 2008 Ah......ah......ah........ahhhhhhhhhCHOO! Yeah, Maria does look like she's about to sneeze, either that or somebody sprayed some air freshner and she really loves that scent. Quote
zen archer Posted February 21, 2008 Report Posted February 21, 2008 Damn ,i just looked on amazon and both Allegresse and Evanescence are going for $26.00 ! Glad i scooped them up when i did .... Quote
Daniel A Posted February 21, 2008 Report Posted February 21, 2008 (edited) Watched Maria conducting the Swedish "Bohuslän Big Band" yesterday night. It was a great performance. She was keen to point out which album of hers the different compositions were from, and that if anyone wants to find her on the web we should type in www.mariaschneider.com rather than do a Google search, because then we would get "the other one". clifford_thornton Posted February 21, 2008 Report Posted February 21, 2008 And I'll add that "the other one" is quite the looker - my favorite role of hers was Antonioni's The Passenger. Quote
Ted O'Reilly Posted February 21, 2008 Report Posted February 21, 2008 I'm pretty sure I have that Maria Schneider release, whether on LP or CD, so I went looking for it, and was surprised at the number of "Sch...." artists I have on the shelves: Schaefer, Hal Schaphorst, Ken Schifrin, Lalo Schloz, Karl SchlĂ¼ter, Wolfgang Schneider, Helen Schneider, Maria Schnitter, David Schoenberg, Loren Schoenecker, Joachim Schoof, Manfred Schuur, Diane Schwager, Reg and maybe a few others still in boxes here and there around the house.... I'll have to scheme or work out a schedule (saving enough time to use a Schick) to hear all these things again, now that I've schlepped them to this table. I hope there's not too much schlock or schmaltz among them, or some schmo or schlemiel on this site (which I hope has few schmucks) will start schismatic arguments among jazz scholars of various schools, or hijack the topic to the proper use of the schwa, or the best way to rig a schooner, or how their schnauser is the best dog. relyles Posted February 21, 2008 Report Posted February 21, 2008 I have it and if it is not one of the discs i had to separate from the case and booklet following the flood you can have it for a below market price. I will even consider a trade if you have anything you want to get rid of. Send me a pm or email. Quote
