I've enjoyed this since it came out. He sounds to me a lot like Cannonball with some Ornette thrown in.

irby is shortly off on a tour of europe.

I enjoyed this album a lot. I preferred it to his other Blue Note release, Full Circle. I had hoped there would be more Blue Note albums from him. I haven't kept up with his later cds.

I really enjoyed many of the new Blue Note releases in 1998-1999. I saw it as a peak for the newer version of the label.
