Rooster_Ties Posted February 5, 2008 Report Posted February 5, 2008 (edited) Note: the music's a tad loud on this Youtube video, so turn in down... Holy fucking shit! Edited January 27, 2009 by Rooster_Ties Quote
Ted O'Reilly Posted February 5, 2008 Report Posted February 5, 2008 I'd guess he's about 5'10", or 1.78m (it IS in Paris). Now you know the height of stupidity. Quote
MoGrubb Posted February 5, 2008 Report Posted February 5, 2008 Darn, that dude's got some gonads. [Catchy music, where have I heard it before, Yank my doodle it's a dandy? ] Quote
paul secor Posted February 6, 2008 Report Posted February 6, 2008 I don't like heights, but turned it on anyway. Can't say you didn't warn me. Quote
porcy62 Posted February 6, 2008 Report Posted February 6, 2008 I used to climbing, so I am not scared of height, but I am scared of stupidity. That is stupid. Quote
Dan Gould Posted February 6, 2008 Report Posted February 6, 2008 I used to climbing, so I am not scared of height, but I am scared of stupidity. That is stupid. Especially for a guy who looks like he weighs about 150, with a 34 inch chest. Though I guess the less you weigh, the less challenge it is to your muscles but that is probably offset by the increasing tug of gravity at that height. It really goes beyond everyday stupidity. Gravity doesn't increase with height (the gravitational pull of the earth is actually incrementally weaker up there, since it is an inverse square law). Anyway, if this isn't trick photography it is truly stupid - a failure of natural selection. Quote

When I used to climbing, I knew a guy who could do twenty tractions on two fingers of the same hand. Anyway the less you weight the better is for obvious reasons, whatever you are, moon a part. At times we were obsessed by weight, diets, ecc., but by security too. I lost a good friend on the Alps, so I find the thing in the video pretty stupid and somewhat insulting. Quote

Maybe I just assumed that gravity is stronger, since its looking at you up there, mocking it, and thinking HEY, you're supposed to be down here on the ground! Quote

And I'm positive that the squirrels are also mocking me. And the birds. And that guy in the car behind me. And the check-out girl in the grocery store. They're ALL mocking me! Well, soon I'll show them all! Quote
connoisseur series500 Posted February 6, 2008 Report Posted February 6, 2008 My heart fell into my balls watching that video. Scary! Quote

Brownian Motion Posted February 6, 2008 Report Posted February 6, 2008 People with a death wish. They'll probably get their wish at some point. No two ways about it. I think that most folks on the board as youths took a risk or maybe several that in retrospect appear lacking in common sense; I know I did. Luckily I'm still here to pay tribute to the recklessness of youth. Quote
