Despite the suggestion that AOTW goes monthly and the reasonable interest in Big Al's choices for January there's only been one tentative enquiry (thanks papsrus)about a February nomination. Now's the time to jump in and nominate an album. I'm happy to keep things going but it can't happen without you.

Just off the top of my head, one of the best albums I've recently heard (just bought it, actually), is the solo disc of Don Friedman's in the ACT "Piano Works" series (other than that I only have the Gruntz and took a pass on the Hays).

I'd definitely be interested in hearing the Joachim Kühn, too! Maybe also the Nabatov, but then I can't really imagine him doing brasilian stuff...

And here's the one I'd propose for AOTM, but then I guess no one will have it (and if we'd do a Riverside album of Friedman's, they're all OOP by now and tough to find... I have three of them, including "Metamorphosis" but didn't manage to find the other one with Attila Zoller so far):
